Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars Finale Recap

It’s the first ever “All-Stars” finale, and for the first time, there are three chefs who will compete. Time to kick the heat up to eleven in this two-hour episode of “Hell’s Kitchen All-Stars.”

Right away, Ramsay has a ton of stuff for the final three. They each got a “Vacmaster” vacuum packaging machine, measuring cups and other kitchen utensils. Of course, none of them got any sleep because Ramsay called them to the dining room shortly after that. What Ramsay wanted them to do was come up with a five-course menu using the help of the “Hell’s Kitchen” sous chefs with a third sous chef, Kesha, to help out.

There was one problem: the dorm was a mess. It’s always a mess. Cleaning day always show how disgusting these chefs are. They did clean it up before they came, though. Oh, and the chefs had wine and tater tots for dinner. Think about that.

The next day, these chefs had to cook their dishes for tasting. Nobody disappointed Ramsay, which is how it should be for the finale. Ramsay acted like this was how he’d choose who would be the final two, but once again said that all three would be. That’s kind of a waste of time.

All three did go to “Calamigos Ranch” where the “California Culinary Association” was having their awards ceremony. Here’s the thing” there is no such as the “California Culinary Association,” and this was an elaborate setup for these final three to cook and this time it’s to really see who’s going to the finals. This had to have been the most elaborate scheme Ramsay had.

Their dishes were rated 1-10 by some big-name people. They were, General Manager of “Caesar’s Palace” Sean McBurney, Vice President of food and beverage of “Caesar’s Palace” Corey Johnson, President of “Caesars’s Palace” Gary Selesner, Global President of “Caesar’s Entertainment” Tom Jenkin and CEO and President of “Caesar’s Entertainment” Mark Frissora. Ramsay, what’s with all the suits? Couldn’t find any chefs for this tasting?

All three were tied with 34 points going into the final round and each chef getting eight or nine in their dishes. Frissora didn’t give numbers, he just said who was going to the final. They were Michelle and Benjamin. Looks like Nick not winning “Hell’s Kitchen” was a stunner. However, he did not go because he was one of the chefs each finalist had to choose for their brigade.

Michelle had Nick (of course,) Dana, Milly and Elise.

Benjamin had Jennifer, Van, Robyn and Barbie.

If you were expecting there to not be any drama in this finale, you clearly don’t know Elise that well. She even said, “I clearly don’t want to be here right now” to the camera. You can cut the tension with a knife. She even started during prep.

Before the final dinner service, Ramsay took the chefs to his office where their families were waiting for them. Ramsay really is a sweet guy.

For a final service, this was a near disaster. Dana had no idea what Michelle’s Hamachi dish was supposed to look like. That’s on Michelle for not showing how it’s supposed to look. Sadly, the pantry got used AGAIN this episode because of Michelle. That is never a good sign. Barbie, saying she never worked hot apps, forgot the mushrooms in the risotto. Elise brought up a risotto that had too much broth. Later, Jennifer undercooked a sea bass, twice. Nick got confused and thought they were cooking a nine top (which never happens.) Robyn had problems with meat. She undercooked two filet mignons and then scorched them and then made two more that were under. She also argued with Ramsay. She would then bring up cold lamb and then put it into a pan where the beef was. It seems crazy to write this, but Robyn was kicked out. Benjamin did, however, take her back.

That was embarrassing. Of course, after that near disaster, Michelle and Benjamin did the usual wait for Ramsay to call them into his office, stand in from of the doors and the chef whose door opened won. This season, that chef was Michelle.

Congrats are in order for Michelle for winning the first ever “Hell’s KItchen All-Stars.” Both her and Benjamin had their ups and downs, but in all Michelle was the better chef. This was a crazy season, especially with Elise in another season. It’s going to be tough for Ramsay to top this season since practically everything has already been done.
