People marrying titles? Title matches with no storyline? The burying of Ethan Carter III before he leaves GFW? This week’s Impact Wrestling was a mess.
Matches:
Ethan Carter III vs. Tyrus: Carter was able to stay in the match, but Tyrus fought back with strikes and strength. Tyrus eventually countered the One Percenter into the same maneuver and won with a Tongan Choke Slam.
Braxton Sutter vs. AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Fantasma: Sutter broke every rule he could but couldn’t Fantasma away. Fantasma finally got the win with the Sit-Out Michinoku Driver variation. After the match, Sutter complained to the crowd and went full heel before Brian Cage hit the ring and took him out with the Screw Driver variation.
Kongo Kong w/Jimmy Jacobs vs. Joseph Park: Kong got the Squash win with the Top Rope Splash.
Hania The Huntress vs. Rosemary: A decent back and forth, but Rosemary dominated and got the win with the Red Wedding. After the match, she hit the mic and was greeted by Taya Valkyrie. The two then brawled, but Taya left standing.
oVe: Sami Callahan w/Jake and Dave Crist vs. Eddie Edwards: Edwards got the win with a Rollup counter in a match that was all over the ring and outside. However, after the match, Callahan and the Crist Bros beat on Edwards and Lashley in the back.
