The go-home show before Backlash was a mess. Not a decent match the entire night and a lack of real compelling storyline made this episode entirely passable.
Matches:
Bobby Roode vs. Elias Sampson: This match was stopped after Roode “injured†his throat on the outside after Sampson slammed it against the turnbuckle guard.
The Authors of Pain: Akam and Rezar vs. John-Paul and Francois: A squash thanks to the Super Collider and The Last Chapter.
Ruby Riot w/Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan vs. Sasha Banks: The numbers game allowed Riot to escape the Backstabber/Banks Statement and will with the Riot Kick.
Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman vs. Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn w/Sunil Singh: This match dragged. It was easily about 15 mins too long. Strowman sat on the sidelines and although Owens hit him hard, he fought back and won with the Running Powerslam.
No Way Jose vs. Baron Corbin: Interference from Titus Worldwide allowed Jose to Rollup Corbin for the win.
Mickie James w/Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya Neidhart w/Ronda Rousey: Neidhart won with a Rollup after Rousey ran after Bliss and James was distracted.
Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor:Â Best match of the night as these guys have awesome chemistry. The series of counters and pin-falls made this one of the best matches on RAW in 2018. Although Balor dominated, Rollins hit the Curb Stomp out of nowhere for the win.
