WWE RAW Coverage: Ziggler and Rollins Make RAW Worth It

Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler stole the show this week on RAW, but you still can’t escape the simple fact that Brock Lesnar needs to relinquish the Universal Championship. The limited defenses are one thing- but to rarely appear on the show and allow any storyline to get over is another. RAW is a ship without a captain and that wrong needs to be right before it sinks even further.

Matches:

Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns vs. The Revival: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder: Wilder got the Rollup win over Reigns after the two Universal Champion contenders couldn’t get on the same page despite having the upper hand throughout the match.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy w/WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Bray Wyatt vs. Curtis Axel w/Bo Dallas: An awful match with a terrible finish as Axel stole the win with a Crossbody counter of a Superplex.

The Authors of Pain: Akam and Rezar vs. Rich and Rex Gibson: Pure squash as TAOP got the easy win with the Last Chapter. After the match, Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews made the save.

Natalya Neidhart w/Nia Jax vs. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss w/Mickie James: Neidhart got the surprising submission win with the Sharpshooter in a match that makes the RAW Women’s Division even cloudier.

The Riott Squad: Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan vs. Bayley, Sasha Banks and Ember Moon: Riott stole the win on Banks, but after the match, things got spicy as Bayley destroyed her former best friend.

No Way Jose vs. Mojo Rawley: This wasn’t even a match and took a super long time to develop. Rawley just talked smack and punched Jose in the face and walked away. What a bore.

Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor and Baron Corbin: A disaster as no one really got along here, but Owens and Strowman have more chemistry than you think. After Balor and Corbin got counted out on the outside, Strowman and Owens picked up the win.

Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler w/Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins:This was a pretty even encounter, although McIntyre continually tipped the favor of the match in his buddy’s favor. After McIntyre was thrown out, things got even spicier, as the two traded finishers, counters and a plethora of near-falls before McIntyre hit the ring again and got the match thrown out. Roman Reigns ended up making the save, clearing the ring to end the night.
