Impact Wrestling Coverage: Aries and Friends Survive Thanks to Numbers Game

Every match on this week’s Impact mattered. The out of ring segments were fun as well. Simply put, this was a show with purpose, poise and clarity. Simply put, Impact has arrived.

Matches:

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard vs. Baby Apache: Lots of strikes and power from both competitors. Blanchard got the win with the Buzzsaw/Hammerlock DDT and proclaimed after the match that she was the best in pro wrestling.

Jake Crist w/Dave Crist and Sami Callihan vs. Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Brian Cage: The Machine won with the Drill Claw, but after the match, oVe beat on him until The Lucha Bros: Pentagon Jr. and Fenix made the save, effectively kidnapping Dave, before Cage beat on Jake and Callihan.

The Desi Hit Squad Rohit Raju and Gurvinder Singh w/Gama Singh vs. Impact Tag Team Champions: LAX: Santana and Ortiz w/Konnan: The Hit Squad proved their worth here, but Santana and Ortiz put them away with the Street Sweeper. After the match, the OGz hit the ramp and talked some trash.

Kiera Hogan and Allie vs. Su Yung and the Undead Maid of Honor: Hogan and Allie worked well together and Hogan won with the Neckbreaker variation.

Eddie Edwards and Johnny Impact vs. Moose and Killer Kross w/Impact World Champion Austin Aries: This was a fun one that broke down in the end, as Impact took out Aries with the Impact Title. Edwards then eliminated Kross with a kendo stick, but Moose got the win with the Spear on Edwards.
