Impact Wrestling Coverage: Impact Successfully Defends Title

While there was a nice amount of building of future storylines, the addition of indie tag team The Heavenly Bodies and a weak match involving the Desi Hit Squad made this week’s Impact feel like an overhyped indie house show.

Matches:

Scarlett Bordeau Invitational: Trevor Lee vs. Sami Callihan w/Jake and Dave Crist: Thanks to help from Jake, Callihan won with Cactus Special. After the match, Brian Cage hit the ring and took out the Crists and took Callihan’s bat from him and nailed him with the F5 before the Crists made the save.

The Heavenly Bodies Desirable Dustin and Gigolo Justin vs. Impact Tag Team Champions: LAX: Santana and Ortiz w/Konnan: This match lasted entirely too long as LAX was clearly the better team. After 10 minutes or so , Lax got the win with the Street Sweeper.

Gama Singh vs. Rohit Raju: Singh got the win when a new member of the Desi Hit Squad hit him with the Darren Young Fireman’s Carry Gutbuster. After the match, the three left together.

Fallah Bahh and KM vs. Killer Kross and Moose: Although Eddie Edwards took Moose out of the match, Kross got the win with the Kross Jacket Choke on KM.

Su Yung vs. Kiera Hogan w/Allie: After Allie was “scared” out of the ring, Yung hit the Panic Switch for the win.

Impact World Champion Johnny Impact vs. Fenix: Fenix did everything but win. This was a war. But just like that, Impact won with the Moonlight Drive and the Starship Rain. After the match, the OGz attacked Fenix before Pentagon made the save.
