Impact Wrestling Coverage: Love and Marriage Triumphs In the End

A slew of solid matches and an appearance from Abyss and Raven added some fun to a show that felt all too convenient with Homecoming around the corner. While Impact has been decent as of late, the later time slot makes it have to be even better to keep its hardcore fans. So far, it hasn’t done that.

Matches:

Ultimate X Qualifier: Jake Crist vs. Willie Mack: This was an excellent opening match and without a doubt the match of the night. Mack did everything but win, although Crist proved he’s a more than capable singles performer. The mini-draw got the win with the Super Cutter from the top rope.

Dark Allie vs. Heather Monroe: Allie got the win with the Codebreaker and after the match, Allie and Su Yung beat on Monroe and Kiera Hogan.

Desi Hit Squad: Rohit Raju and Raj Singh w/Gama Singh vs.  Damien Hyde and Manny Lemons: This was a pure squash as the 2.0 DHS won with the Knee/Samoan Drop Combo.

Ultimate X Qualifier: Ethan Page vs. Matt Sydal: Page stepped up and got the win with a Senton Bomb, but hit several awesome counters throughout.

Impact World Champion: Johnny Impact and Taya Valkyrie vs. Moose and Impact Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard: Valkyrie won with the Surfboard STF on Blanchard, but the real developments occurred after the match as Moose and Blanchard attacked Impact and Valkyrie. Killer Kross tries to break it up before Brian Cage clears the ring and stares down the Impact Champion.
