The build for Homecoming was slow as hell, but the go-home show before Homecoming was a solid one as every title match was teased- except for the Taya Valkyrie/Tessa Blanchard encounter. A surprise appearance from Raven and some solid wrestling also fortified the two-hour show.
Matches:
Rich Swann, Willie Mack, Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz vs. Sami Callihan, Dave Crist, Jake Crist, Matt Sydal and Ethan Page: Lots of fun spots but Mack got the win with the Top Rope Stunner before oVe beat him down. Just like a few weeks ago, oVe decided to spare Swann, who tried to protect Mack after the fact.
Fallah Bahh and KM vs. The Desi Hit Squad: Rohit Raju and Raj Singh w/Gama Singh: DHS was strong early on, but KM cleaned house and Bahh won with the Banzai Drop.
Dark Allie w/ Su Yung vs. Kiera Hogan: Not a well-executed match. Mostly strikes before Allie won with a Codebreaker.
Killer Kross vs. Trevor Lee: Kross won with the Kross jacket and then punched a cinderblock to pieces that was resting on Lee’s head.
The Lucha Bros: Pentagon Jr. and Fenix vs. Impact World Champion Johnny Impact and Brian Cage: This match showed the well-oiled machine of the Lucha Bros and the animosity between Champion and Challenger. The Bros were on the same page throughout and won with the Stomp/Fear Factor.
