Talk about a pathetic attempt at a go-home show for SummerSlam. Make no mistake her. This wasn’t a bad show. The crowning of new Women’s Tag Team Champions as well as Goldberg and Trish Stratus appearances were cool, but this didn’t real the match card for the WWE’s summer classic, at all.
Matches:
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus Natalya Neidhart: Lynch won via DQ after Flair dismissed herself from the match and Nattie refused to pull out of a Sharpshooter.
Andrade w/ Zelina Vega vs. Rey Mysterio: Excellent match- plenty of back and forth. After interference from Vega, Andrade won with the Hammerlock DDT.
The Viking Raiders: Erik And Ivar vs. Jay Alexander and Eric Abraham: Another squash via The Viking Experience.
Cedric Alexander vs. Drew McIntyre w/Kurt Angle as guest referee: A no-contest after Bray Wyatt hit Angle with the Mandible Claw.
United States Champion AJ Styles And RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Xavier Woods, Big E. Langston and Ricochet: After the initial match got thrown out, another match was made and there, Gallows and Anderson beat Woods with The Magic Killer.
Fatal Four Way Elimination: Women’s Tag Team Champions The Iconics: Peyton Royce and Billie Kay vs. The Kabuki Warriors: Kairi Sane and Asuka w/Paige vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville vs. Nikki Cross And Alexa Bliss: Bliss And Cross were the smartest team and stuck out, beating Sane with the Twisted Bliss to claim the titles.
