NXT UK Stars to Look Out For in 2020

NXT UK’s first full year in existence was full of positives and negatives, but one thing is certain. The roster is filled with incredibly talented wrestlers. With some recent returns, and wrestlers poised to break out within the year, here’s the top five NXT UK stars to look out for in 2020.

5: “Bomber” Dave Mastiff: Mastiff is a 300-plus pounder who can move like a middle-weight when he wants to. The crowd loves him and he had a few stand out matches before he was put on the shelf for a few months. Now that he’s back, he’s ready to make Mastiff a household name in NXT UK.

4: Xia Brookside: Brookside is the perfect fiery babyface for the NXT UK fans to fall in love with. Part of what has made NXT so special are the underdogs that connected with the crowd through the years. First it was Sami Zayn, then it was Johnny Gargano. Brookside could be that player for NXT UK.

3: “The Kiwi Buzzsaw” Travis Banks: Banks is a workhorse that is capable of putting on some top notch matches. It’s only a matter of time before a midcard title, and the Kiwi Buzzsaw would be the perfect candidate to bring it some legitimacy.

2: Jinny: Jinny has been criminally underrated in NXT UK. She can hang with the best of them in the ring, and talk circles around pretty much anyone. She’s in her second reign as the Progress Women’s Champion and it’s only a matter of time before she gets her hands on the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

1: “The Irish Ace” Jordan Devlin: Devlin spent 2019 proving just how good he is by putting on barn-burner after barn-burner. At this point he comes off as a legitimate threat in the ring, and after planting Dave Mastiff with the Devil Inside Suplex, it’s a given that he can hit it on anyone. Devlin is poised to turn heads everywhere in 2020.
