Review Fix Exclusive: Lucifour M’s Mattia Dallara Talks ‘Fox’ And More

Review Fix chats with Lucifour M’s Mattia Dallara, who discusses the band’s origin and goals for 2020.

Review Fix: How did the project start?

Mattia Dallara: It came up a night in which Micky and Marco met after a gig Marco played at that night… then it took a while to re-talk again and start something, but it was in the air…. then I finally came in and songs started to birth…

Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Dallara: Partially out from jamming or from a riff or from few words…no rule …totally free…of course we reach a point where we decide what to take, what to throw away and how we want a song to feel like….in this phase, compared to the first one…we very strict and precise, despite our very different personalities inside the band…but we usually reach the point where everybody is happy with the result

Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?

Dallara: FOX…probably, the new single….it is a strange movement, 2 or 3 different songs into 1… this song really shows what Lucifour M is I guess…for now at least!

Review Fix: What are your goals for 2020?

Dallara: We are playing a lot of things these days, including some tour around Europe and Italy and more maybe….including some festivals like The Great Escape in Brighton next summer…plus a new video, some soundtracks in films etc…you will see….but we are really looking forward the next gigs …we really cant wait!

Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?

Dallara: We would like to entertain people and they enjoy our music as we do…we don’t pretend our music does “change the world” but if you enjoy it is a good thing for sure.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Dallara: Our second EP is called DUE and will be out next spring…it is all a work in progress, we are recording new music as well, we never stop….still out very soon!
