AEW Dark Results: Cassidy Gaining Momentum

Dark was a bloated nine matches this week, but as usual, there are a few gems in there worth watching.

Matches:

Robert Anthony vs. “The Machine” Brian Cage: Anthony didn’t stand a chance. Cage laid a few in before dropping his opponent with a Drillclaw.

Musa and David Ali vs. SCU: Frankie Kazarian and “the Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels: Ali tried to take control with dirty tactics, but SCU hit the Best Meltzer Ever to secure the win.

Pineapple Pete vs. “The Chairman” Shawn Spears w/ Tully Blanchard: Blanchard snuck Spears a metal plate to hide in his glove and cracked Pete with a WMD to continue his hot streak.

Griff Garrison vs. “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer w/ Jake “The Snake” Roberts: A Blackout wasn’t enough punishment for Garrison, so Archer slammed his head into the mat a few times for the easy win.

John Silver and Alex Reynolds vs. “The Concrete Rose” Sonny Kiss and “the Bad Boy” Joey Janela: Janela had Silver in a Fireman’s Carry and Kiss hit a Split Leg Drop off of his back to pick up another win for the team.

Kilynn King vs. Mel: King whiffed a Missile Dropkick and Mel capitalized with a Chokeslam Spinebuster for the pinfall victory.

Lee Johnson vs. Scorpio Sky: Sky floated like a butterfly and stung with a TKO for the confident win.

Luther, Serpentico, and Max Caster vs. Jurassic Express: Marko Stunt, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus: Luther and Serpentico got tired of playing and left Caster hanging. Jungle Boy tapped him out with an SGS.

“The Librarian” Peter Avalon w/ “The Librarian” Leva Bates vs. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy w/ Best Friends: Trent and Chuck Taylor: Cassidy scored a win with a Superman Punch to the jaw of Avalon. Cassidy is building momentum for his impending match with Jericho at Fyter Fest.
