WWE RAW Coverage: Rollins Not Enough

Away from a fiery promo from Rey Mysterio and some great mic work from Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, this week’s RAW was largely passable. While many mid-card feuds were developed further, the show continues to fail to deliver anything but generic wrasslin’ thrills.

Matches:

Aleister Black vs. Seth Rollins: Black got a win with a Rollup, thanks to Humberto Carrillo, but after the match, Austin Theory and Buddy Murphy destroyed Black and Carrillo.

United States Champion Apollo Crews vs. Kevin Owens: This ended in a Double DQ after Andrade and Angel Garza got involved.

United States Champion Apollo Crews and Kevin Owens vs. Andrade and Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega: Garza continued to work on Owens’ knee, but Crews got the win with the Powerbomb variation.

Nia Jax vs. Kairi Sane: Jax won with the Leg Drop in an encounter that Sane proved she belonged in, but Jax dominated.

Billie Kay vs. NXT WOmen’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross: Away from the Rollins/Black encounter, this was the best match up until this point in the show that saw Kay steal a surprising win.

NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. RAW Women’s Champion Asuka: These two went back and forth before Nia Jax got involved to get the match throw out.

MVP w/ Bobby Lashley and Lana vs. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre: McIntyre beat MVP with the Claymore, but Lashley jumped in after the match and locked in the Full Nelson to end the show.
