AEW Dynamite Results: Sammy the Snake

Dynamite delivered a fantastic show this week. The debut of Eddie Kingston, great matches, and awesome segments made a stellar episode.

Matches:

TNT Championship Open Challenge: TNT Champion: “The American Nightmare” Cody w/ “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson vs. Eddie Kingston: Kingston talked his way into a No DQ match and used every dirty trick in the book. Including Powerbombing Cody onto thumbtacks. Cody refused to stay down though and locked Kingston in a Figure Four with a bad knee, forcing the vet to tap.

MJF w/ Wardlow vs. Griff Garrison: MJF cracked Garrison with the mic before the bell for mentioning his loss. During the match, Friedman forced his opponent to say he was undefeated and drilled him with a Heat Seeker PIledriver.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: The Young Bucks: Nick and Matt Jackson vs. The Butcher and The Blade: The Bucks took the fight to Butcher and Blade’s natural habitat, the kitchen, to start the match. They brawled to the ring and eventually, the Bucks set BnB up on a pair of tables on the entrance ramp. The Jacksons climbed up to the top of the entrance tunnels and hit tandem Elbow Drops to earn a hard-fought win.

Diamante vs. Ivelisse: These ladies laid into each other. Diamante rolled Ivelisse up with an Inside Cradle for the win.

Alan “V” Angels vs. AEW World Tag Team Champion: “Hangman” Adam Page:  Page didn’t even need the Buckshot Lariat or Deadeye to put Angels away. Instead, he opted for a good ol’ fashioned Powerbomb for the win. After the match, Mr. Brodie Lee came out to offer Hangman a spot in Dark Order which was denied. Dark Order used the numbers game and jumped the Tag Champ, but FTR made the save followed by Kenny Omega.

Jurassic Express: Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy w/ Marko Stunt vs. Inner Circle: Chris Jericho and Jake Hager: Serpentico cracked Luchasaurus in the back with Jericho’s bat out of nowhere, and Le Champion followed up with a Codebreaker for the win. The Luchadore took off his mask and revealed that it was Sammy Guevara, and Inner Circle beat Jurassic Express down. Best Friends and Orange Cassidy made the save.
