AEW Dynamite Wrestling Coverage: Gearin’ Up

Some of the best in-ring action in AEW history capped off an excellent show that featured the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament and some of the best promo the company has done since its start.

Matches:

AEW World Title #1 Contender Tournament: Wardlow vs. Jungle Boy w/Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus: Jack Perry did everything but win here, nearly putting Wardlow away several times. However, after an F-10 on the outside that sent Perry into the ring, Wardlow appeared ready torn the victory. Taking his time, Wardlow hit the maneuver again for the win.

AEW World Title #1 Contender Tournament: Kenny Omega vs. Sonny Kiss: Omega won in seconds with the One-Winged Angel.

AEW World Title #1 Contender Tournament: Rey Fenix vs. Pentagon: This was the match of the night as these two absolutely pushed each other to the limit. There were several wonderful moments here. Someone, sadly had to win though. After Pentagon hit the Arm Breaker, Fenix was able to hit the Destroyer for the win.

AEW World Title #1 Contender Tournament: Colt Cabana w/Evil Uno vs. Hangman Page: Page got the win with the Buckshot Lariat in a hard-fought bout.

Kilynn King vs. Brit Baker w/Rebel: Baker got the quick win with Lockjaw.

The Butcher and The Blade w/The Bunny vs. The Young Bucks: Nick and Matt Jackson vs. Private Party: Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen vs. Alex Reynolds and John Silver: The Dark Order team was amazing here and absolutely stole the show. Everyone expected the other three teams to show up, but Silver and Reynolds made this one special. It came down to Matt reversing a Pinning Combination off a Meltzer Driver.

After the match, FTR hit the ring and beat on The Bucks.
