Review Fix chats with Everyday Dogs’ Jesse Inglima, who discusses the band’s origin, goals, creative process and standout work.
Review Fix: How did the project start?
Jesse Inglima: Everyday Dogs started from myself, my brother [Julian Inglima, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist], and some friends getting together for jam sessions. We’ve been a band for almost 3 years now and are based out of Athens, GA, USA.
Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?
Inglima: Usually our songs stem from either myself or Julian having an idea for part of a song. This is anything from a guitar riff, to a verse/chorus combination, or some lyric ideas. The idea is then taken to the band, and as a group we’ll jam on those ideas and figure what we like and don’t like and how to transform those ideas into fully fledged songs.
Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?
Inglima: Everyone in the band probably has a different answer, but for me, I would say it’s “Go Find Your Loveâ€. That was the first song Julian and I both deliberately wrote together, and I think it has a great balance between melody and aggressive impact.
Review Fix: What are your goals for 2020?
Inglima: 2020 has been a unique year to say the least. We shot a music video back in January that we will release sometime in 2021. We also spent this last year in and out of the studio working on new material. “Black Fire†was the first of those new songs we put out, and we will be releasing more singles over the coming months.

Review Fix: How do you want your music to affect people?
Inglima: For us as a band, we just like writing music that we would want to listen to ourselves. We consider ourselves a “High Octane Rock ‘N’ Roll Bandâ€, so if people like our big guitar riffs and loud drums, then we’ve done our job.
Review Fix: What’s next?
Inglima: Obviously, it’s a strange time to speculate too far out into the future, but we want to continue to grow as a band. One of our big goals is to release a full-length LP, and I think that will come after we’ve done a lot more touring and grassroots growth of our audience and fanbase.
