With the returns of Finn Balor and Karrion Kross, NXT stepped up following a huge week from AEW this week. While not their best show ever, this was a damn good one that showcased solid in-ring work and plenty of faces.Â
Make no mistake, the Wednesday Night Wars Have Begun.
Matches:
Jake Atlas vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott: Great opener with plenty of back and forth action. Atlas got the win with a Pinning combination out of nowhere that left Scott furious.
Imperium Marcel Barthel and Fabian Eichner vs. Ever-Rise Matt Martell and Chase Parker vs. Grizzled Young Veterans: Zach Gibson and James Drake: Another solid match with plenty of back and forth. Gibson and Drake won with Ticket to Mayhem.
Cameron Grimes vs. Tommaso Ciampa: Ciampa won with Willow’s Bell, but his problems with Tim Thatcher appear far from over.
Pete Dunne vs. Killian Dain: Dunne won with The Bitter End, thanks to interference from the NXT Tag Team Champions, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.
Raquel Gonzalez vs. Ember Moon: Gonzalez continues to shock the division, winning with her One-Armed Powerbomb over the NXT standout, Moon.
