Review Fix chats with Vaya, who discusses her origin in music and hopes for 2021.
Review Fix: How did the project start?
Vaya: I had a flow of lyrics that needed to be colored by music. First we have done a jam session with Raphael Mxt and then I have putted down sounds and melody ideas in my « home studio ». The first double album represents the spirit of the white wolf. It was an interesting work in collaboration with others musicians from the record process to the live shows. The second opus actually in process is born in Toronto two years ago. Again I was scratching words on my leather books and a hugh flow of melodies came into my mind. I decided to explore instruments I never touched before and this instinctive process designed an unusual face for this opus, it is just unique!
Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?
Vaya: As said, feeling the flow caressing my bones or by words or by melodies. I always have something where I can write my words and something where I can record some melody ideas. :)
Review Fix: What’s your standout song? How was it written?
Vaya: I do not have a « standout » song. Each one has it s own story to tell about life, human being, Univers Laws, Nature, emotions etc…
Review Fix: What are your goals for 2020?
Vaya: Stay alive?:D Well, Keep the sacred fire and continue to create ;)
Review Fix:How do you want your music to affect people?
Vaya: Feeling the shiver of Life running on their skin?
Review Fix: What’s next?
Vaya: The second opus!
Here’s an extract: Sexual is one of the songs of this second opus; a short movie pictured in Japan.
