NXT Coverage: Thatcher and Ciampa Prove Themselves

The ongoing Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the arrival of Edge in NXT and Pete Dunne’s challenge to Finn Balor made for an enjoyable episode of NXT.

Matches:

Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez vs. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro: Carter and Catanzaro get better every week. Kai and Gonzalez however are amazing alone and together. Gonzalez ended up picking up the win.

Austin Theory w/North American Champion Johnny Gargano vs. Leon Ruff: Gargano got thrown out, but Theory hit the ATL for the win. After the match, Theory tried to use the ring bell, but Dexter Lumis made the save.

Lucha House Party: Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado vs. Legado Del Fantasma: Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde: Tons of spots here, but pretty smooth. Although the House Party was dominant- LDF picked up the win.

Toni Storm vs. Jessi Kamea: This one got thrown out as Mercedes Martinez and Io Shirai got involved.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar vs. Curt Stallion: Scarlett watched the match and Stallion took a beating and eventually won with the Samoan Driver. After the match, Karrion Kross destroyed everyone and warned Escobar.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Tomasso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher vs. The Undisputed Era: Adam Cole and Roderick Strong: This was a war. Ciampa got the win with Willow’s Bell after Thatcher was dominant on the outside.
