WWE RAW Coverage: Lashley and McIntyre Ready for War

Alexa Bliss’ “mind control,” Bobby Lashley’s hoes and just an overall lack of sizzle made the go-home show before Hell in a Cell a lackluster one.

Matches:

Nikki Cross vs. Charlotte Flair: Because she was paying closer attention to Rhea Ripley, Cross got the win via count-out. However, after the match, Flair beat on Cross until Ripley delivered Riptide on The Queen.

John Morrison w/The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy: Cedric Alexander stopped by to watch, but these two proved once again they can deliver. This was probably the best match back and forth of the night. Morrison got the win with the Starship Pain. After the match, Alexander talked smack to Hardy to begin their feud. Hardy then put his career on the line for an impromptu match.

Cedric Alexander vs. Jeff Hardy: Alexander was solid, but Hardy won with the Twist of Fate and Swanton.

Piper Niven w/Eva Marie vs. Naomi: This was supposed to be Eva Marie’s return, but Niven decimated Naomi with the Michinoku Driver.

RK Bro: Randy Orton and Riddle vs. The New Day: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods: Lots of great teamwork before Orton countered the Honor Roll into the RKO.

Asuka vs. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley: Asuka got in plenty of offense, but Ripley won with Riptide. After the match, Charlotte Flair attacked and the two beat on one until WWE officials broke it up.

Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax: Bliss hit Twisted Bliss, but Reginald got involved to cause the DQ.

Jaxson Ryker vs. Elias: For the second week in a row, Elias got counted-out.

Drew McIntyre vs. WWE RAW Tag Team Champion AJ Styles w/Omos: McIntyre hit the Future Shock DDT, but Omos dragged Styles out. Soon enough, Lashley and The Viking Warriors were all ringside.Eventually Lashley got involved to get the match thrown out. Eventually, a new matchup began…

The Viking Raiders: Erik and Ivar and Drew McIntyre vs. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley w/MVP and WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Omos and AJ Styles: This was a fun main event with plenty of fire and passion. It set up two title matches well. So where was this for the weeks leading up to Hell in a Cell? Ironically, McIntyre got the win with the Claymore after Styles tagged in Lashley, who didn’t want to get in the match.
