WWE RAW Coverage: Big E Proves Himself Again, But So Does Reigns

WWE is scared. Before Extreme Rules and fresh off a few losses in the Demo Ratings to AEW, RAW continued to feature stars from both RAW and Smackdown to bolster the show’s ratings and to send fans home happy before Extreme Rules.

The end result was one of the best RAWs in months, but one that didn’t have any real impact.

Matches:

The Bloodline: Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Smackdown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jay Uso w/Paul Heyman vs. The New Day: WWE Champion Big E., Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods: Interference from Lashley allowed Reigns to cut Woods down with a Spear.

DouDrop vs. Eva Marie: DouDrop won again. Who cares.

WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles: Solid encounter. RKO for the win that continues to build the feud.

Shayna Baszler vs. NiÄ… Jax: Baszler made the statement, getting the tap-out win and then stomped out her former tag team partner.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Tamina and Nattie Neidhart vs. Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley: ASH stole another one with a Rollup to win her team the straps. It’ll be interesting to see where they go from here.

Mustafa Ali and Mansoor vs. Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza: Carillo and Garza shined and got the squash win.

Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy: In spite of hitting Sheamus’ knees following a Swanton, Hardy was able to Rollup Sheamus to get a shot at the United States Title at Extreme Rules.

Triple Threat: WWE Champion Big E. vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns w/Paul Heyman vs. Bobby Lashley w/MVP: Tons of offense as all three competitors hit a ton of offense and displayed their offensive prowess. Lashley changed the match entirely however after Lashley hit the Front Spinebuster through the announce table. Although Big E. Got back in the match, he continued to sacrifice his body. Lashley then started on E with a steel chair before Reigns got the win with the Spear.
