NXT 2.0 feels a lot like the first season of NXT did- minus the lengthy matches. It’s getting better but it’s still a work in progress.
Matches:
NXT North American Championship Qualifying Match: Roderick Strong w/Malcolm Bivens vs. Solo Sikoa: Strong hit the Samon with everything but Sikoa was strong and won with a Headbutt and the Diving Splash.
Dexter Lumis vs. Tony D’Angelo: D’Angelo got the win thanks to the antics of Indi Hartwell and Persia Perotta. After the win he called out Tomasso Ciampa, who snuck up on D’Angelo and hit him with Fairytale Ending.
Elekta Lopez vs. Fallon Henley: López dominated and won with the Liger Bomb variation.
Robert Roode vs. Bron Breakker: Breakker not only kicked out of the Glorious DDT, he won with the Powerslam variation, but then got kicked in the face by Dolph Ziggler for his trouble.
NXT North American Championship Qualifying Match: A-Kid vs. Grayson Waller: A-Kid was awesome but Waller won with the Diamond Cutter variation.
Creed Brothers: Brutus and Julius Creed w/Malcolm Bivens vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans: James Drake and Zack Gibson: The Creeds picked up a massive with with their Lariat variation.
Duke Hudson vs. GUNTHER: Gunther of course, won with a Powerbomb.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo vs. Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray: Kai and Choo were solid throughout but a KLR Romb and the Moonsault put them away.
