With new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions and a slew of other developments including the arrival of Jordan Devlin, Great American Bash was a solid two hours this week.
Matches:
Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez vs. NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne: A shocker as Perez hit Pop Rox for the win in a match that could have one either way. A fun opener.
Wes Lee vs. Trick Williams: Lee did everything but win before Williams rubbed something in his face and then hit a Spin Kick for the win.
Wendy Choo vs. Tiffany Stratton: Stratton with the tough win with her second rope Corkscrew.
Grayson Waller vs. NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes: The match of the night. Waller hit all his offense but couldn’t put Hayes away. One mistake and Hayes hit his Top Rope Scissors Kick Drop for the win.
Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp vs. NXT Tag Team Champions: The Creed Brothers Julius and Brutus: Another solid one as both teams were pushed to the limit before the Creeds retained. Is this the end of Diamond Mine infighting?
NXT Champion Bron Breakker vs. Cameron Grimes: This deserved more than the 10 minutes or so it got. Grimes is far more seasoned and he put Breakker over, who was selling an injured Shoulder but still hit Shoulder Blocks and a top rope Frankensteiner with it. Grimes nearly won with the Cave In but Breakker eventually got the win with the Spear on a jumping Grimes. After the match, Jordan Devlin put Breakker through a table.
