NXT threw a beefy card together to tease several key storylines for the brand moving forward. While largely uneventful, it was cool to see some surprising wins on the show this week.
Matches:
JD McDonagh vs. Julius Creed w/ Brutus Creed: Wow. A good opener that saw Julius step up and beat a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion cleanly.
Cora Jade vs. Wendy Choo: Another surprise as Choo got the win with a Full Nelson variation and her modified Vader Bomb.
Scrypts vs. Ikemen Jiro: “Reggie” won with his 450 seated Senton variation.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Lash Legend: Valkyria won but this was tough to watch.
The Schism: Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler w/Ava Raine vs. Edris Enofé, Malik Blade and Odyssey Jones: The Upside Down/Ticket to Mayhem combo got the dark faction the win.
Kiana James vs. Fallon Henley w/ Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen: Henley got the win with the Shining Wizard to keep her family’s bar, but it appear Jensen wasn’t too happy.
NXT North American Champion Wes Lee vs. Tony D’Angelo w/ Stacks: Dijak got involved, which allowed the surging D’Angelo to loose his focus, allowing Lee to pick up the win.
