J’Moris Jump New & Ms. B Nasty Review: Big Texas Rap

Powered by fun themes of self-empowerment, motivation and the dating scene, Texas-Based J’Moris delivers in his new singles “Jump New” and “Ms. Nasty.”

“Jump New” has an easy-going theme and a beat that’s infectious. It’s easy to want to get into the chorus. You don’t get him? You don’t feel the situation? Then move on to something new. This is what the song is about and that’s what makes it perfect for driving down the highway on the road to your next gig or after a long day of work. With his deeper register, he’s got a cool sound too. Despite being from the Mid-West, he doesn’t have that accent (not that it’s a bad thing) and easily connects with anyone in the same boat. At the end of the day, there are many of us.

“Ms B Nasty” on the other hand, is anything but easy-going. It’s a hand-clapping, fun sex-fueled romp. This is one you’ll hear in a bar right before closing time. The lyrics “You never had a long strong, I can fix that,” are the type of words you’ll hear men singing to women as the bass bumps through the speakers. Overall, this may be the stronger and more chart-topping potential tracks of the two, but both get it done, in two completely different ways. Because of that, you’ve got to be high on J’Moris’ future.

There’s a lot of rap out there, but J’Moris encapsulates the thoughts of a generation. The hustle, the game, the reality of being real with yourself and the need to understand the cause, J’Moris crushes these two songs.
