There are dozens of gaming headphones out there, in different shapes, sizes and prices, making it nearly impossible to pick the perfect one for your gaming needs.
However, if you’re looking for something, lightweight and durable, without compromising quality, FINAL’s VR2000 is an excellent choice.
The VR2000 may not be the most aesthetically sexy one out of the box, as they are more reminiscent of pre-packaged iPhone headphones, but featuring comfortable earpieces and excellent sound and a far better mic than expected, it’s a device that should come with every PS5 console. Yes, they’re that good.
The only gripe we have with them, isn’t much of a gripe at all. It actually stems from the fact that we’d want to use them more than what they may have been designed for.
Aside from its use on the PlayStation 5 and other mobile devices, the VR2000 would be just as good a headset option on USB-C devices, had an adaptor been packaged in with it. For those that have an adaptor (rather inexpensive on Amazon), you’ll quickly find that the VR2000 can replace many of your old headsets entirely. If not for the corded option, they’d be near perfect actually. As it stands now however, they’re an economically viable, comfortable and solid audio peripheral.

Hickey Jr. is also a voice actor, having starred in the 2018 indie hit and 2019 Switch, PS4 and Xbox One release, The Padre (also serving as English language Story Editor), from Shotgun With Glitters. The sequel, The Padre: One Shell Straight to Hell was released in February 2021- Hickey also served as a Story Editor and Lead Voiceover performer. He has also done narration and trailers for several other titles including The Kaiju Offensive, Relentless Rex and Roniu’s Tale.
Hickey is also the lead voiceover performer on Mega Cat Studios’ upcoming title WrestleQuest, responsible for nearly 90 characters in the game, as well as Skybound's Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood, where he voices both Dracula and Renfield, as well as several other characters. He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
