With a fun beat, feel-good lyrics and vocals that capture the essence of both beautifully, Astralix’s “The Rhythm Fills My Soul” is a perfect pre-party ramp-up track, fit for a group of friends ready for a wonderful night out or someone looking for a change of scenery somewhere new.
Astralix, the creation of singer-songwriter Gary Dranow and Chris Zoupa, added vocalist Malena for this track- the culmination of Dranow’s work as a DJ and adds an international flavor from the Melbourne-based Zoupa and producer Louis Dupont. The end result is musical skittles. While there’s no rainbow to taste here, the EDM-powered tunes are eclectic, colorful and robust throughout. Put it all together and it’s a sugary treat for the ears and one that only gets better on repeat.
While the beat and lyrics do an excellent job of propelling the song, the approachability of the track at just three-minutes and 21 seconds and Malena’s voice, which has tinges of stars the likes of Robyn and Shakira, with a nice amount of R&B-inspired flavor, steals the show. It’s not a knock on the other elements of the track. Instead it’s an exclamation point on a well-engineered piece of music.
With such a splendid combination of flavors, Astralix hits hard with a light summery symphony of EDM and vocals in “The Rhythm Fills My Soul,” a track, that if any indication of the future, is promising.
