On the first day of New York Comic Con 2024, Legacy Comix is proud to announce their newest comic, The Minds Behind the Games: Red Dead Revolver, written by Patrick Hickey Jr. and penciled, inked, colored and lettered by Joshua Adams is set for a January 2025 release.
Based on the near two decades of video game journalism work of Hickey, who has penned seven book in his Minds Behind the Games book series, the comic tells the development story of Red Dead Revolver, through the eyes of one of the game’s developers, Dominic Craig.
“This is easily one of the most important books we’ve ever done,” Hickey said. “In the tradition of amazing books by Ed Piskor such as Hip Hop Family Tree and X-Men Grand Design, we’ve crafted a comic that is completely powered by actual events and my own work as a journalist.
“Josh and I take you through not only the development story of the first game in the Red Dead series, but introduce you to an amazing developer and his story of how he broke into the industry and how a little floundering Capcom game he was working on became a classic that helped catapult Rockstar games.”
The Minds Behind the Games: Red Dead Revolver is set for a Winter 2025 release.
