Melba Moore: Imagine Review: The Legend on Display

With 28 albums to her name, as well as roles on TV, Broadway and the Big Screen (as well as four grammy nominations and a Tony-Award), there’s little left to imagine what singer Melba Moore can’t do.

Well, maybe rock our world with a track called just that- Imagine.

Thanks to a gravitating hook and her signature vocals, Moore introduces herself to a brand new audience and reconnects with her most dedicated ones, in what is ultimately a beautiful love song.

A Grammy-nominated vocalist respected by the soul, R&B and even Rock community, “Imagine” also proves her diverse ability hasn’t let up one bit. There are times you’ll feel Moore is singing directly to you.

Usually the case when you have an artist with over five decades of experience, it’s easy for them to rely on their old hits and sound to catch the attention of their hardcore fans. The beauty of this track is that Moore uses her trademark vocals to catch your ears, but the song, thanks to powerful backing vocals and beautiful guitar work, stands alone in her eclectic and vast catalogue.

If you’re a fan of Moore, you’ll instantly fall in love with her voice all over again. If you’ve (for some reason) never experienced her work, it’s an invitation to a massive library of infectious work.
