Pol Sembrano ‘Anywhere EP’ Review: Dance Worthy And More

Pol Sembrano’s “Anywhere EP” is a four-track experience that is so much more than the sum of its parts. Responsible for the vocals, keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars and programming on the EP, Sembrano quickly establishes himself as someone who is extremely capable and talented.

Fans of acts the likes of Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Erasure will immediately feel at home here. Whether it’s as background noise after a long day or something to fire yourself up at the start of the day, this EP gets it done in a variety of ways.

The EP opens up with Anywhere (Single Mix), which absolutely gives the listener an idea of what’s coming next. A fun dance track, it gets the blood flowing and doesn’t let up.

Open Mind (Single Mix), the second track on the EP isn’t as dance-friendly, but showcasing some sexy synth and programming work, is a great introduction to Sembrano’s work.

Number (Single Mix) may be the best album on the EP, thanks to a catchy hook and a distinct ‘80s feel. It’s also some of Sembrano’s best vocal work on the EP as well.

Nothing To Say (Single Mix) is a perfect close to the EP as it gets you to dance and encapsulates so much in such a short time. It allows Sembrano to prove he can do it all by himself.

With so much versatility and odes to classic ‘80s dancehouse anthems, Sembrano is a throwback act worth looking into.
