Dr. Dave: Sexy Cindy Enhanced Music Video Review: Clearer Than Ever

Finally, “Sexy Cindy” gets her due.

Although the track by Dr. Dave & the HouseCall Band has been up on YouTube for years, due to strict format policies on the platform, it was never heard by fans listening to the song, despite the fact that it was literally all over smooth jazz radio upon its original release in 2018.

Nearly a decade later, this enhanced edition is the best version of the track to date and worth revisiting for fans of the original video. It’s also a great place for new fans to start their adventure with Dr. Dave & the HouseCall Band..

For those of you that don’t know, “Sexy Cindy,” is also one of Dr. Dave’s biggest hits ever, ranked #1 for Smooth Jazz Guitar songs in the U.S. on Radio Guitar One’s Top 20 upon its release. With the enhanced vocals on the new video, the message is clearer than ever. Fans of classic jazz will definitely find something to latch onto here.

The song, inspired by and named for Cindy Sanchez Medina, Miss Santander, Columbia 2018, whom the guitarist met at La Jolla Cove when she was traveling in the U.S., is aptly named. Medina actually appears in the video and is pure eye candy and perfect distraction every few seconds from the tunes.

At the same time, Cindy isn’t the only person you’ll be happy to see during the video though. Seeing The HouseCall Band jam over the course of the video is a treat as well. Simply put, all excellent musicians that all have a moment to shine here. From Dave’s killer riff work to wonderful keyboard work and background vocals, there’s plenty of mystique to the fun track, that finally can be heard the way it was originally intended.
