With Seth Rollins’ injury, a Battle Royal for a new Number One Contender to face CM Punk for the strap on November 1 made sure this week’s RAW was awesome. Add in new Tag Team Champions and this was the best RAW in months.
Matches:
WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: Judgment Day: JD McDonagh and Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee: This was a war but Styles got the win with the Styles Clash for a huge win.
Intercontinental Champion and Triple A Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio vs. Rusev: Penta tried to limit Mysterio’s heel tactics and Rusev found the Time Keeper’s Hammer, but a Low Blow and the Frog Splash allowed Mysterio to retain. After the match, Penta took out Rusev to establish himself as the next in line.
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri w/The Alpha Academy: Otis Dozovic and Akira Tozawa: The Hometown Girl was solid and nearly won with a Running Knee and later with an Ankle Lock and later a Top Rope Splash, but Lynch ended up nailing her with the title to cause the DQ.
