10 excellent matches that will play a huge role in Battle Club Pro’s future made sure that Jobberslam was a huge event in the promotion’s history.
Matches:
KC Navarro vs. Saive Al Sabah w/Mr. Martinez: The battle of two members of Federated member was an exciting opener, which saw Navarro and Sabah show off their athletic prowess and trade counters and near-falls. Sabah got the high-impact offense in early with the Single-Arm Chokeslam and Irish Curse Backbreaker. Sabah continued to beat down The Gifted One with strikes and slow down submissions as the match continued. Navarro fought back with strikes and a beautiful DDT and all of a sudden it was anyone’s match. After a Code Red, Navarro had Sabah on the ropes but Sabah hit the Spinning T-Bone for a near-fall. Navarro eventually got the win with the Spinning Cutter variation.
Steve Pena vs. Masha Slamovich w/Gino Gotz: Slamovich started off hot with the Missile Dropkick before the intros could finish. Pena got right back into it with a Big Boot. This was a stiff one. Pena was in control for the majority of the match, but Slamovich endeared herself to the crowd and scored several near-falls. This was a fun one as both Battle Club Fallout Shelter School coaches played smart and worked hard. The two then traded chops and the crowd was totally into it. This was a war. Pena then hit a pair of Powerbombs and Slamovich kicked out Slamovich then hit the Double Arm Suplex, but Pena latched on with a Bully Choke that she eventually battled through and then followed it up with a Flying Knee for the win.
PAWD Champion Trish Adora vs. Trever Aeon: Aeon spent a good while sizing up Adorta, but the Champion slowed things down with the Octopus variation. Adora continued to slow things down with slowdown holds and smarts. It appeared Aeon was waiting for his moment to strike, but Adora wouldn’t give him the opportunity. It wasn’t until Aeon hot the Goth Plex that things started to change in his favor. Adora continued to fight back though, using submissions and strikes.
#1 Contender’s Match for Battle Club Pro Tag Team Championship: Montana Black and Ian Maxwell vs. The Rep vs. The New York Wrecking Krew vs. Mr. Grim and Eran Ashe: This was all offense, all stiff, all spots. It was fun as hell. Mr. Grim got a standing ovation after a beautiful dive to the outside that saw him land on his feet. However, it was The Rep that ended up with the win with the 3D Final Shot variation.
PWX Pure Champion Savannah Evans vs. Darius Carter: Another fun inter-gender contest that matched Evans’ strength and Carter’s ability to dictate the action. At one point, Carter was in complete control, pulling Evans’ hair around the ring posts on the outside. Evans used to strength and battled back however, using the Thesz Press and some questionable strikes and bites. A Yakuza Kick in the corner gave Carter some momentum, but Evans kicked out and got pissed. He worked over Evans with the Armbar, but Evans escaped and hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb for the near-fall. Carter slowed things down with an STF but Evans escaped. Later Carter got himself DQed by not letting go of a submission maneuver. After the bell, he continued to beat on Evans before Battle Club Franchise Champion Mik Drake made the save.
Battle Club Pro Franchise Champion Mik Drake w/Mr. Martinez vs. Mysterious Q: Lots of back and forth here as both Q and Drake showcased their power. Q, however, was able to mix in the speed and Luchador moves to spice up the encounter fast. At the same time, Drake was able to showcase his vertical leap as well. After about eight minutes of back and forth offense, Drake hit the German Suplex to get an advantage but Q hit the Torture Rack/Spinning Slam for a near-fall and then a Flipping Stunner for a near-fall as well. Q went for the Torture Rack Slam again, but Drake countered into the DDT for the win.
Ring of Honor Six-Man Champions Shane Taylor Promotions: Shane Taylor, Moses and Kaun w/ O’Shay Edwards and Rev Run vs. Prolific: Isiah Wolf, Marcus Marquee and Tyree Taylor: Prolific used their speed early, thanks to fast tags and lots of quick strikes. However, Marquee was in the ring most of the match and took a massive beating. Eventually both Taylors faced off and that’s when the drama hit a fever pitch. Soon enough, there was finishers galore until Shane Taylor took over and won with the Package Piledriver.
O’Shay Edwards w/Mr. Martinez vs. Yahya: A stiff one. These two battled all over the place. Edwards dominated but Yahya stayed in it through and eventually won with a Sit-Out Spinebuster after Edwards missed a Moonsault.
Battle Club Pro Tag Team Champions: The Sea Stars: Delmi XO and Ashley Vox vs. The Mane Event: Midas Black and Jay Lion: The Mane Event ambushed The Champions early. This was a war from start to finish. So many near-falls. Too much action to recount before The Mane Event ended up with the win following a pair of finishers at the same time.
Battle Club Pro Icons Champion Tasha Steelz vs. Big Swole: Steelz hit the Cutter but then missed a Frog Splash, allowing Swole to hit Dirty Dancing for the win.
