Fun debuts and plenty of quality in-ring action and teases for Double or Nothing made for a worthwhile two hours of wrestling this week.
Matches:
Steel Cage Match: Wardlow vs. Shawn Spears (special referee: MJF): Wardlow defied the odds and beat Spears in spite of MJF’s antics. Wardlow destroyed security after.
Private Party: Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy vs. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston: Moxley and Kingston dominated and got the win over a surprisingly game Private Party. After the bell, Chris Jericho and company hit the ring, but Santana, Ortiz and Brian Danielson evened the odds to end the segment.
Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR vs. Roppongi Vice: This was a great one until Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan hit the ring and destroyed both teams.
Three-Way Dance: Jungle Boy vs. Swerve Strickland vs. Ricky Starks: Any of the three could have fun, but Strickland stole it with the Swerve Stomp. After the bell, Hobbs hit the ring, but Luchasaurus and Keith Lee joined the fray.
Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinal: Toni Storm vs. Dr. Britt Baker DMD: Despite sending Jamie Hayter and Rebel to the back, Hayter eventually paid dividends and Baker used the distraction to score the win.
Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semifinal: ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O’Reilly: O’Reilly was his awesome self, but Joe got the win with the Coquina Clutch in a solid main event that didn’t go as long as it could have.
