Review Fix chats with drag queen Isabella Rio and the evolution that’s going on in the entertainment niche.

Review Fix: How did you get started in drag?

Isabella Rio: I started my journey in drag about 5 years ago out of a passion for self-expression and artistry. It all began with experimenting with makeup and costume designs, and it evolved from there.

Review Fix: Who are the influences outside of drag that you incorporate into your act?

Rio: My influences outside of drag are vast and eclectic. I draw inspiration from pop culture icons, fashion designers, and even historical figures. These influences help shape my unique drag persona and performances.

Review Fix: What does drag mean to you?

Rio: Drag, to me, is a powerful form of artistic expression and a celebration of identity. It’s a platform where I can break free from societal norms, challenge stereotypes, and showcase my true self in a vibrant and creative way.

Review Fix: What are you currently working on?

Rio: Currently, I’m working on refining my performances and pushing the boundaries of my drag artistry. I’m also collaborating with other artists to create exciting new projects and shows.

Review Fix: How do you want it to affect people?

Rio: I hope that my drag performances inspire and empower others to embrace their authenticity and individuality. I want people to feel a sense of joy, confidence, and acceptance when they watch my shows.

Rio: The future holds endless possibilities in the world of drag. I plan to continue evolving my drag persona, exploring new artistic ventures, and reaching a wider audience. There are exciting performances and projects on the horizon!
