Review Fix’s Summer Listening Guide

With a few weeks left in summer, Review Fix shares 10 tracks to make those hot summer nights reflect any mood you want. It wouldn’t be summer without the right music, from the infamous “car with friends” song, or the “end of the night at the bar” or even the “rainy day” song. From modern rock and metal to R & B and jazz, these ten tracks will liven up any beach party, BBQ or veg night.

Star City Meltdown: Here With You: This is definitely a wedding song, but has the upbeat lyrics and rocking guitar melody to be a great bar anthem.

Kal’L: Addicted: A night when your significant other comes home and the roses and candles are out and…you get the idea. With a silky smooth beat and charismatic singing, Kal’L sets the mood right.

Dan Godlin: Did She Look: A good “coffee house” song or even “a bunch of people in a car and not embarrassed to sing out loud” track.

Michi: He Said: Another fun track that is reminiscent of theme songs of great 90s sitcoms like “Friends.” Add in some fun guitar work and Michi’s unique voice and this is definitely one the gals will love.

Charm City Devils: All You’ll Ever Need: A love song that men will want to listen to repeatedly. CCD frontman John Allen has a one of a kind voice. Think ‘80s hair ballads with more testosterone.

Jon Jonsson: When You’re Around: This is Iceland’s blonde-haired version of Stevie Wonder. Super catchy- this is a wakeup song.

The Dirty Heads: Cabin by the Sea: If you dig bands like Sublime, you’ll quickly become a fan of TDH. It’s a super fun song that tells a story and catches your attention with good guitar work and a great beat.

Icarus Witch: Rise: Metal heads rejoice. This song will rock your face off. The Iron Maiden-inspired vocals and great musicianship make this a great one to blast in the car. Think “Wayne’s World.”

Frank Unzueta: The Me You Created: A slow jazz track for that night home with that special someone. It’s beautifully composed and easy to fall into.

Joshua Ketchmark: All These Eyes: This piece has a little bit of everything, but for the most part, it’s a damn good modern rock song. Think Our Lady Peace’s “Somewhere out There.”
