WWE RAW Power Rankings: The Chicago Way?

Stellar promo between CM Punk and Paul Heyman, a stacked card and the developing storyline between the corporation and the locker room fueled one of the better episodes of RAW in months.

Check out our weekly RAW power rankings to see whom else shined on the microphone and in the ring this week on the WWE’s trademark television program.

5: The Miz: A week after he was destroyed by Randy Orton, The Miz was pissed. His future feud with Orton should be fun, but this week, his episode of MizTV with The Big Show was entertaining as well. For the first time in his career, Miz played the honest face and was great at it. Once Stephanie McMahon joined the show she buried The Miz verbally and Show did it with his fist. Ironically, this puts Miz in the same category has Daniel Bryan as a face with the odds stacked against him.

4: Bray Wyatt and the Family: Harper and Rowan looked unstoppable against the Prime Time players this week and Wyatt made the most of a small opportunity. Say what you want about the ability of The Shield, but The Family is easily the most dominating trio in the company today.

3: The Shield: It appeared that the threesome had their hands full this week, but Triple H knows how to play the game. Slowly but surely, the 11 competitors that were supposed to fight the group were softened up in other singles matches. All three were dominant in the ring this week eliminating their fair share of opponents via their trademark offense. Regardless of the outcome, The Shield proved their worth in the ring this week

2: CM Punk: Garbed in a Duncan Keith Blackhawks jersey, Punk worked his hometown crowd beautifully. All set for his match with Ryback at Battleground, perhaps this is the beginning of another singles push that ultimately rids him of Paul Heyman’s shadow and allows him to get back in the WWE title picture. At this point, Punk is completely disconnected from the main storyline and once this feud with Ryback is over, perhaps he gets in the middle of this. Don’t let the beating he took from Ryback and Curtis Axel and the whole “I’m not good enough” promo he served up this week fool you. Punk still has a few special moments left in him.

1: Daniel Bryan: The B+, Goat-Faced Troll is perhaps more over than an WWE has been since Punk’s magical summer in 2011. Another excellent match this week continues to confirm what many people have known for years. He’s one of the best workers in the world today.
