With the Abyss and Eric Young feud heating up and Samoa Joe all but ready for a World Title shot, TNA is more interesting than it’s been in years.
Check out our weekly TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who’s got the most to gain by a solid performance at TNA’s upcoming Lockdown pay per view.
5: Abyss and Eric Young: Two of TNA’s most polarizing characters, their angle has picked up steam quick. At first, it was a joke, but with Abyss back and ready to scrap and Young stepping up the physicality, this feud is one of the best in the company right now.
4: Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards: Although they weren’t spectacular in their debut match on Impact, it had a lot to do with the fact that it was a six-man tag. Proving that they can hang with the Bromans, you can expect the Wolves to be in World Tag Team title contention very soon.
3: Gunner and James Storm: With Gunner’s World Title shot confirmed for this week and he and James Storm’s pending Tag Team title shot, these two have benefitted heavily from MVP’s leadership. Two tough guys that the TNA crowd responds to, their matches with Magnus and the Bromans, Jessie Godderz and Robbie E will be solid ones. While it appears unlikely that Gunner will win the World Title, this current push has proven he is capable of handling more responsibility.
2: MVP: Not only did MVP get it done on the microphone this week, he got it done in the ring in a squash match with Rockstar Spud. Giving the company a big push in the right direction since he arrived, MVP has delivered thus far.
1: Samoa Joe: MVP’s hand-picked opponent for Magnus, there’s a lot of pressure on Joe to win the TNA World Heavyweight title. Confident and gaining momentum on a weekly basis, Joe may very well have that gold belt around his waist very soon.
