TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: EY’s Biggest Challenge Yet

MVP’s heel turn was a disaster, but it makes another point besides TNA’s weak creative team. Simply put, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young has no competition. Can MVP be the challenger EY needs to make his run as champion a memorable one?

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to find out.

Honorable Mention: Mike Knox: His Menagerie is weird. But Rebel is pretty hot and the Freak is just that, while that Steve character is a nut. They have a place in the company especially considering the lack of a real mid-card, but Knox needs more than a Sit-out Powerbomb as a finisher if he’s going to be taken seriously.

5: Magnus: The addition of Braham makes Magnus a real threat. A feud with Willow proves that TNA brass is confident in Magnus because Hardy to probably one of their only real draws. Can Magnus hold his own with one of the most exciting performers in the industry? Or will he fizzle out the same way he did as World heavyweight Champion?

4: Ethan Carter III: This dude has come a long way since his days in NXT. In excellent shape, Carter continues to hold his own in the ring and on the mic. All he needs is a clean win over Angle and he’ll be ready for a World Title shot. Although his feud with Sting accomplished little, he’s proven himself time and time again while in the ring with Angle.

3: The Wolves: The best tag team in TNA, it’s fair to say they could be one of the top teams in the world today. Their win over The Bromans this past week on Impact takes them to another level, but with no real competition, they continue to languish in the middle of the card.

2: MVP: His heel turn is a confusing one, but one that immediately makes an Impact. Could he beat Eric Young and become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion at Slammiversary?

1: Eric Young: EY got swerved big time this past week on Impact. He has never faced an enemy as athletic and charismatic as MVP. His biggest challenge yet, EY may have bitten off more than he can chew.
