Seth Rollins continued negative comments towards the Shield this week on Main Event and nearly bit off more than he could chew against Dolph Ziggler in what was ultimately a solid episode of the show. Although there were less matches this week, the WWE tag team champions Jimmy and Jey Uso continued their rivalry with the Wyatt Family as well. Overall, there was far more action on the show- an example that the show doesn’t have to be meaningless filler if it doesn’t want to be.
Matches:
Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler: This was back and forth most of the way as both athletes worked hard for the crowd. A big back body drop allowed the Showoff to gain momentum until Rollins delivered the Blackout for the win.
WWE Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso w/Jay Uso vs. Luke Harper w/Erick Rowan: Harper was in control for most of the match until a sharp kick to Harper’s jaw which allowed Jimmy to Rollup the behemoth for the win.
