Review Fix: How are you different from other artists?
Max Lisa: Every person has an entire world inside himself. Artists have the privilege to try to share with others part of their world with their music. That’s what I am trying to do, and I am different because there are not two identical men on this planet.
Review Fix: Who did you listen to growing up? How did they influence your music?
Lisa: My first love were The Beatles. I listened for years to all their songs… Then I’ve to mention Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Genesis, Eagles… But there are many great songs I loved and I still love from many artists. In these last months I am listening often t o Taylor Swift. She really has a lot of talent and my dream would be a duet with her.
Review Fix: What was it like to work with Tom Coyne?
Lisa: It’s a great honor for me that the last touch of mastering to my new songs have been given by Tom. And of course he as the humility of the great artists. For example, I requested a change in one of my songs few days after the the mastering was complete and he was so nice to come back on the work and make the change without any discussion.
Review Fix: How was “My Baby” written?
Lisa: I believe it was 2 am. I started an arpeggio on my acoustic guitar. I was playing very softly not to wake up my girlfriend that was sleeping. I started singing a melody of love for her. The whole song came out in less then an hour and I recorded a demo of it. The next morning before breakfast I played it to here and she liked it.
Review Fix: “What was the set of the “Walking Dead” video like?
Lisa: Walking Dead is written as my tribute to the TV series. I saw all the seasons few months ago. After the last episode of the last season, I was missing the series. While waiting for the new episodes, I wanted to write something as a tribute from a fan. This is why also the video contains many segments from the TV series and also from other movies related to Zombies.
Review Fix: How do you want “Fly Away” to be remembered in a few years?
Lisa: I must say in these days I am revisiting all my songs from the Fly Away EP because I want to make changes to them. Some parts will be rewritten and Keeley will sing with me also in Fly Away and Demons from Hell. Therefore, I want people to remember the “new†Fly Away that will be included in the album that I plan to release at the end of this year or beginning of 2015.
Review Fix: Why should someone check out your new singles?
Lisa: I would like people to buy my two new singles Walking Dead and My Baby because these reflects my current artistic path. They are the anticipation of the upcoming album. I am putting all myself in my music. I hope people will like it and buy it, because they will allow me to have the privilege of living for my music, which is the dream of every music maker. Few days ago I played and sang for more than two hours for an audience of more than 7,000 people. I must say, nothing makes me feel better than this. I would love to have the privilege of doing this more and more and more.
