NXT Power Rankings: Awesome Go Home for Takeover

With just a week to go before the next NXT Takeover event, this week’s show continued the NXT Title tournament and furthered the storylines in the NXT Women’s Division and mid-card as well. With the cards now in place, you can expect another great two hour show next week.

Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who advanced in the NXT title tournament and who else stood out in another solid episode of NXT.

Honorable Mention: Carmella: Her submission win over Emma this week on NXT is easily the biggest of her career. Armed with a killer look, two great allies in Colin Cassady and Enzao Amore, as well as a one-of-a-kind submission finisher, she’s easily one of the top up and coming Divas in not only NXT, but the entire WWE.

5: Baron Corbin: Despite his first loss this week on NXT, Corbin looked great in his first real test. While we’re not too excited about Corbin continuing his feud with Bull Dempsey, it appears they’ll got at it just one more time. A big turning point in Corbin’s career, look for him to put an exclamation point on the finale of their war.

4: Adrian Neville: While Neville didn’t put over Baron Corbin with a win this week on NXT, he did give him every opportunity to shine and improved his value on the card. Advancing in the NXT title tournament, what next for the former champion? Is he ready for the WWE or is he going to sit around NXT and hold on to a spot he’s outgrown?

3: Finn Balor: His win over Hideo Itami is easily the biggest of his career. Alls et for a showdown with Adrian Neville, expect these two to have a knock-down, drag-out technical showcase at Takeover.

2: Kevin Owens: The master manipulator got himself a NXT Title shot last week and this week he told the NXT Universe that he’s taking the title from former friend Sami Zayn. With a size and strength advantage to go with unbridled ruthlessness, you’ve got to love his chances.

1: Sami Zayn: All set for his title defense against Kevin Owens at the next NXT Takeover event, expect to see a much darker and determined Zayn. Easily his biggest challenge yet as champion, Zayn is going to have to reach down deep to take out the tougher and larger Owens.
