WWE RAW Coverage: SWAT Team Strippers With Lady Gaga Hair

Thanks to stirring segments with John Cena and Triple H and the announcement of Alundra Blayze being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, as well as awesome Seth Rollins’ encounter with Jon Stewart and AJ Lee’s return, this week’s RAW wasn’t snore-inducing, but it continues to lack the “sizzle,” you’d expect from an episode of RAW so close to Wrestlemania.

As a matter of fact, if it wasn’t for Paul Heyman’s promo before the main event, this week’s RAW would have have been mediocre at best.

Matches:

Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett vs. Dean Ambrose: A solid opener with plenty of offense. Once again R-Truth stole the Intercontinental title, but this time around former IC Champ Luke Harper took it from him as well. When Barrett saw Harper walk off with his title, he was distracted long enough for Ambrose to hit the Dirty Deeds to get the win.

Mixed Tag: WWE Tag Team Champions Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro and Natalya Neidhart vs. Jimmy and Jey Uso and Naomi: Neidhart was apparently working with an injured knee, but Kidd tagged her in anyway and she was pinned by Naomi.

John Cena vs. Curtis Axel: After Axel got the crowd going with some of his best promo work to date, Cena made quick work of him with the Attitude Adjustment and the STF.

Divas Champion Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella vs. Paige:
Thanks to interference from Brie, Paige lost a great opportunity to win the Divas title after she locked in the PTO. A returning AJ Lee made sure the Bellas got their comeuppance , helping Paige take out the laundry.

Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper: Bryan got bounced around a ton in the match, including a few crazy rough spots, but got the win with the Yes Lock. After the match, Wade Barrett, Dean Ambrose , Harper, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth all fought over the title, again.

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins w/Kane, The Big Show, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble: J & J’s interference kept the match much more balanced than it would have been otherwise. Reigns continues to ad new moves to his arsenal, as his School Boy-Seated Powerbomb was solid. Rollins played the part of the heel well, selling hard and distracting the referee so Kane could hit Reigns with a chair on the outside. After Reigns hit the Superman Punch, it appeared the match was over as Reigns set up The Spear. However, Randy Orton grabbed Reigns’ leg, allowing Rollins to win with the School Boy. After the match however, Reigns took out the entire Authority (Except Orton, who walked backstage right after his act of treachery), including Spears on Rollins and Show.
