Don’t let the two-match card fool you. This week’s NXT was amazing thanks to a one-of-a-kind main event between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.
A near-half hour epic, there’s a reason why the guys on the main roster are jealous of NXT. These guys get to perform in ways you just don’t get to see on RAW or Smackdown.
With the announcement of a two-out-of-three falls match between Hideo Itami and Tyler Breeze next week and the continued drama between the Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy and fan favorites Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, there was just enough storyline development to build next week’s show around.

NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss: Banks was at her usually bitchy self, hitting the Double Knee and tons of strikes, but Bliss hit the Bliss Flip and a nice Somersault Powerbomb in the corner and got some momentum. But after Banks threw Bliss off the top, she locked in the Bank Statement for the win.
NXT Champion Kevin Owens vs. Finn Balor: A great match with a ton of back and forth offense. While Owens was in control, Balor was vigilant and never stopped coming.But even when Balor went on a tear, Owens, too, kept getting up. Simply put, there were so many shifts in momentum, that you didn’t know if Owens was going to leave with the belt. From the Sling Blade to the Reverse DDT and Pele Kick, Balor threw a ton of offense on Owens. The Champion fought back however late in the match with a modified Muscle Buster Suplex from the top and then nailed Balor with the Cannonball in the corner and then another one of Owen’s injured ankle. But after he missed the move the third time, Balor hit the Coup De Grace, but Owens then came back with the Pop Up Powerbomb for the win.

The sequel, The Padre: One Shell Straight to Hell was released in February 2021- Hickey also served as a Story Editor and Lead Voiceover performer. He has also done narration and trailers for several other titles including The Kaiju Offensive, Relentless Rex and Roniu’s Tale.
Hickey is also the lead voiceover performer on Mega Cat Studios’ upcoming title WrestleQuest, responsible for nearly 90 characters in the game, as well as Skybound's Renfield: Bring Your Own Blood, where he voices both Dracula and Renfield, as well as several other characters. He also stars in Ziggurat Interactive’s World Championship Boxing Manager 2, where he performs the VO of nearly every male character in the game. He also worked on the Atari VCS’s BPM Boy.
