TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: Angle Still the Man

With the end of several feuds and The Wolves relinquishing of the TNA Tag Team Championships, TNA’s landscape is changing dramatically.

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who’s got momentum on their side as TNA begins to turn a new page.

Honorable Mention: The Wolves: With Eddie Edwards out with a broken heel, The Wolves were forced to relinquish the TNA World Tag Team Championships. One of the most dynamic tag teams in the world today, it’s sad to see them step away, but injuries are a huge part of the game. The larger question is, will Davey Richards stay true to his word and stay out of tag team action while his teammate is injured.

5: Eric Young: His win over Bobby Roode definitely puts him in a situation to ask for another shot at the TNA World Heavyweight title. Although the crazy, nasty Young isn’t as much fun as the one that won every title in TNA as a face, Young still is a guy to watch and someone that can quickly get into another cool feud. From here on out, with Roode out of his way, it’ll be interesting to see where Young goes from here.

4: Gail Kim: Her win over Angelina Love was a solid one, but Kim needs to get back in the Knockouts Title picture. Easily one of the best female performers in the world, Kim has spent a lot of time the last few months making Awesome Kong and Taryn Terrell look formidable. Let’s not forget how dominating Kim can be.

3: Magnus: Although he took down his old pal Bram this past week on Impact, it appears he’s going to have his hands full with James Storm. A former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus needs another big time feud to get himself back in the mix. Although having Mickie James by his side has helped, it hasn’t been enough thus far.

2: Bobby Lashley: His days as the dominating World Champion are over, but Lashley has proven time and time again over the last few months that he’s a top-notch big man that is capable of being in the middle of a Main Event program. Although he’s not the champion, it would be nice to see him get some more mic time to develop his character further.

1: Kurt Angle: He’s older. He’s lost a step. But he’s still Kurt Angle. The reigning and defending TNA World Heavyweight Champion simply cannot be beat right now.
