With five matches and plenty of teasing for future matches, this past week’s TNA was a building piece towards the future and one that didn’t waste a minute.

Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see who gained some ground in their quest for the Knockouts title and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Honorable Mention: Khoya: The Indian Crimson will join James Storm in the TNA Tag Team Tournament next week and although he lacks many of the pieces needed to be a megastar, the height he gets on his Sky High Powerbomb makes it a move you want to see every week.

ECIII Don’t Need a Number: He’s awesome on the mic in a way that only a great heel can be. He gets the fans going and deserves to be in the mix for the TNA World Heavyweight title. With his sights now set on the TNA Tag Team titles however, with Bram as his partner and Tyrus by his side, ECIII

5: Awesome Kong: The new #1 Contender for the Knockouts title, Kong got the win over Gail Kim in a solid match that guarantees her a shot against the current Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell. Although she lacks the athleticism and charisma of her opponents, she destructive power is second to none in the promotion.

4: The Rising: Consisting of Drew Galloway, Micah and Eli Drake, The Rising is ready to take on the Beat Down Clan and have their own hashtag to prove it. Forgive us for not being excited about another TNA faction, this one insisting of NXT and WWE outcasts. Regardless, you have to love ho these guys got the crowd going this week.

3: The Beat Down Clan: MVP is charismatic and Low-Ki and Kenny King are extremely gifted in the ring, so why aren’t we excited about their feud with The Rising? Although the drama finally got into the ring this week, it wasn’t special, until Homicide arrived. With Samoa Joe gone, you had to wonder how much muscle the BDC really has. Now, with an answer, the BDC can take this feud to the next level.

2: Eric Young: Even in defeat, EY made a statement taking out Lashley after losing a triple-threat match for the TNA World Heavyweight title.
