WWE Payback Power Rankings: Rollins Still Champ, But is it Enough?

Payback was a waste of time, there’s no doubt about it.

Regardless there were a few performers who stepped up and showed that they may be the only real reasons to watch.

Check out our Payback power rankings to see who stood out the most in what has to be one of the worst WWE PPVs of 2015.

Honorable Mention: Sheamus: His win over Dolph Ziggler at Payback has to put him in a great place to challenge for the now vacant Intercontinental Championship. Leaner and meaner than ever, you have to like Sheamus’ chances at moving up the card, but he may need another big time feud to be the WWE World Heavyweight contender he used to be, once upon a time.

5: The New Day: Love them or hate them, they are still the WWE Tag Team Champions. Heels, to the fullest extent, it’s fair to say that they are growing on the WWE Universe like a fungus. All three are talented workers and together have created something much better than them by themselves. That’s what a good tag team or faction is all about.

4: Adrian Neville: The fans come to see Neville fly and he didn’t let them down at Payback. A prime contender for the Intercontinental Championship, Neville is a few big matches away from becoming the star everyone expects him to be.

3: John Cena: He may have gotten some help from Lana, but Cena’s match with Rusev was another great one that continues make the United States title mean something. With no Intercontinental Champion right now as well, Cena’s role in the WWE is an incredibly important one.

2: Kane: He picked his side. After teasing a face turn for weeks, Kane let the world know he’s not going to be a fan favorite anytime soon.

1: Seth Rollins: He needed help from Kane and J & J security, but he’s still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The best heel in the company, he needs to have a different type of feud, however, to be taken as seriously as he deserves to be. Until Brock Lesnar returns for his shot, Rollins will have to make the best of what’s given to him, which will either be former WWE Champions the likes of Orton or promising youngsters the likes of Reigns and Ambrose.
