Thanks to a beefy card and some solid tag team action, this past week’s episode of NXT begins to lay the groundwork for Takeover Brooklyn beautifully.
Check out this week’s NXT Power Rankings to see who starred in this Tag-Team fueled episode of NXT.
Honorable Mention: Baron Corbin: At this point, Corbin is just destroying everything in his path, but he lacks the polish to be taken more seriously.
5: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder: Their win over Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy make them a team to be on the lookout for. Add in an awesome double-team finisher and a no-nonsense approach and these guys have plenty of potential. No longer jobbers, how long can they keep the winning ways going?
4: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable: These guys have plenty of polish and a nice combination of power and technical ability. They are, without a doubt, future NXT Tag Team Champions. And with more microphone and ring time, they can eventually be a solid team on Smackdown or RAW.
3: Charlotte Flair: If there was any doubt of what Flair was capable of in the ring, she continued to prove it in a dominating win over Dana Brooke. Easily the most balanced female performer in the WWE away from Paige, Flair is on her way out of NXT, but she still has a few more matches left in her.
2: Kevin Owens: Much like Charlotte Flair, Owens won’t be in NXT much longer, but that doesn’t mean he can’t and won’t dominate until his last step in the promotion.
1: Blake and Murphy: Thanks to the work of Alexa Bliss, the team held on to the NXT Tag Team titles against the Vaudevillians, but how much longer can they hold on to the straps?
