Away from Rockstar Spud and Austin Aries stipulation match, Jeff Jarrett’s induction into the TNA Hall of Fame and more drama from Tigre Uno on Donald Trump, this past week’s episode of Impact was a step in the wrong direction.
Check out this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling Power Rankings to see what else transpired on a lukewarm episode of Impact.
Honorable Mention: Eric Young: The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion is a vicious man, far from the fun-loving guy that won the title a year ago. His win over Chris Melendez was even more proof of how dangerous a man Young is.
5: Brooke Tessmacher: She’s not Taryn Terrell and she’s certainly not Gail Kim, but even as a transitional champion, Tessmacher has been entertaining. Beautiful and athletic, she’s a throwback female performer that fans can connect to.
4: Tigre Uno: TNA is not letting go of the Donald Trump situation and it’s not exactly the best way to showcase the high-flyers antics, especially considering how poor his English is. Regardless, being X-Division Champion and getting a rare opportunity to tell his story, Uno has the faith of TNA Creative.
3: Jeff Jarrett: In one of the coolest moments in TNA history, Double-J was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. It was a long time coming, but perhaps it can be the start of a new relationship between Jarrett, Global Force Wrestling and Impact Wrestling.
2: The Hardy Boys: With Jeff back and Matt Hardy set to take on Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight title, the Hardy Boys’ stock hasn’t been this high in Impact Wrestling in a long time.
1: Ethan Carter III: Set for his encounter with Matt Hardy, Carter was at his cocky best this past week on Impact. Can he keep his undefeated streak going against one of the best Tag Team wrestlers of all time?
