Review Fix: What was the inspiration for Red Port comics?

Den K: The idea of creating a project Red Port comics based on our love of comics and desire to help novice independent authors to publish their comic book history.

Review Fix: What’s the comic book scene like in Russia?

Den K: Now in Russia practically there are no publishers who produce comics by independent authors. Accordingly, the most popular among readers are foreign comics and comic books released by the publishing house Bubble.

Review Fix: What makes Red Port Comics special?

Den K: Our comics are a hell of the mix of different genres and styles of worlds of comics culture. For example, drawing in the comic book “The stories” is a combination of American and European schools, superimposed on an unusual story.

Review Fix: What are your goals for the label in 2016?

Den K: In 2016 we have set ourselves lots of goals. However, the main one is to successfully complete the fundraising for the English version of our website which now runs on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. We also want to run 4 more comic series, to make an interactive comic in which readers will be able to predetermine the fate of the hero, as well as to open an online store of branded products. The implementation of these project goals is largely dependent on the success of the fundraiser (on IndieGoGo.

Review Fix: Bottom line, why should someone check out these comics?

Den K: We recommend you to follow our project because we are young and fun and ready to amaze for our subscribers.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Den K: In the distant future, we imagine that our project will be appreciated by many fans of comics. Thus, the comics from Russia will gain popularity, and their authors will receive the recognition of the audience.
